The moon and the stars were the champions of the night sky. They were happy to bring light to the dark sky every night. What happened when the sun decided to play with these champions and moved closer to the moon?

Nomfusi has been a Foundation Phase Educator from 2000, teaching Grades 1, 2 and 3, but mostly Grade 1 learners. Nomfusi’s passion for language, education and literacy led her to being an author of several story books in isiXhosa for Grades R to Grade 3 including the Aweh! reading scheme.

In 2014, she joined the Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute as an isiXhosa Balanced Language Approach facilitator for Foundation Phase isiXhosa teachers. She further developed training manuals for Barriers to Learning as a resource for educators. Nomfusi has also worked with the University of the Western Cape as a student supervisor for Foundation Phase student teachers. Her passion is storytelling and teaching.
