I am forever grateful to a colleague who informed me about the opportunity at OUP and to the Publisher who took a chance on me despite my lack of formal publishing experience. This chance allowed me to dive into full-time publishing, and I haven’t looked back since. This role lets me blend creativity with logic while contributing to the education of our children, helping to pave the way for a brighter future.

One of the aspects I truly value at OUP is the abundance of growth and skill development opportunities. Each year, we are encouraged to further our education or take short courses at accredited institutions, funded by OUP. The variety of courses available through our skills hub is incredible. I’ve completed short courses in Graphic and Instructional Design at the University of Cape Town and the University of Pretoria. These courses not only support my role at OUP but also align with my personal interests.
