The culture at OUP is one of collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity.
My journey with OUP began in 2022 as a Digital Marketing intern, where I had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and apply myself in the digital marketing space. In 2023, I moved to an Analyst position, allowing me to delve deeper into data analysis and marketing strategies. By 2024, I transitioned into a Marketing Intelligence Specialist role, focusing on leveraging data to drive marketing decisions and strategies.

OUP encourages and supports employee development. Whenever I want to learn something new, I can always reach out for advice or guidance. If we choose a specific career path, OUP supports us in pursuing it. A few years ago, I never imagined I would become a ‘data expert’. However, upon joining OUP, I discovered my passion for data, research, and analytics. With OUP’s support, I became proficient in Power BI and completed a data analysis course through the University of Cape Town.

I’m also part of the CSI committee. In this capacity, we brainstorm and identify areas where we can add value to our communities. We have a strong sense of community where everyone’s ideas are valued and encouraged. What makes OUP unique is our commitment to both professional excellence and social responsibility. Our initiatives, such as the CSI and sustainability committees, reflect our dedication to making a positive impact beyond just our business goals.
