I spent 15 years in the publishing industry before joining OUP in 2003, a time when camera phones were becoming popular, and Xbox was on the rise. My passion for books and education has always been a driving force in my life. Like any journey, mine has had its share of challenges. There were moments when I faced difficult situations or obstacles in my work, but the support and guidance from my colleagues and managers helped me overcome them. I have cherished the friendships I formed with colleagues, sharing both professional and personal experiences. We have collaborated, celebrated successes, and supported each other during challenging times.

I am incredibly grateful for the bursary my daughter received from OUP. Thanks to this support, she has been able to pursue her career aspirations in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB,ChB) program at Stellenbosch University, greatly enhancing her educational journey.

Among the many key projects I have been involved with, the recent Foundation Phase submission in 2024 stands out. OUP staff demonstrated commitment, addressed challenges collaboratively, and most importantly, worked as a team. I am proud to work for such an organisation.
